A fictional, historic novel for children about Guillemette, the Brothers Montgolfière and the invention of the first hot-air-balloon.
Paris 1783: Guillemette is the daughter of a renowned scientist and has a big passion for science herself. She is finally old enough to help her father in his work. So Guillemette comes across the Brothers Montgolfière and a particular discovery they made: Balloons can fly with the help of hot air.
Guillemette joins their team and helps to build a prototype made out of fabrics to present in front of the king at Versailles.
Despite all disbelief from friends and family, Guillemette keeps following her passion and plays a big part in the progression of this extraordinary breakthrough invention.
